On March 12, Pastor Jim preaches on John 3:1-7.
This passage is one of the most familiar in the New Testament. Privileged, powerful, and pious, Nicodemus comes to Jesus filled with certainty, saying, “Rabbi we know that you are a teacher who has come from God…” It’s as if Jesus reached out and pulled a string on the man’s prayer shawl and unraveled his whole world.
Sometimes we think we have Jesus all figured out. We should guess again. He tells us we cannot see the Kingdom of God unless we are “born from above.” What in the world could this mean?
