On May 20, Pastor Katy preaches on Acts 2:1-6.
Pentecost Sunday is the day every year when we wear red and celebrate the Holy Spirit in our midst. It’s been referred to as the birthday of the church and re-enacted with red and orange streamers, but there’s a mystery to this day that is far greater than any special effects can replicate. It’s a day when people who are divided by language, culture, and custom are drawn together by the Holy Spirit for a purpose greater than what divides them. Perhaps in today’s polarized culture and time, we too need a Pentecost.
