Burke Center for Youth strives to promote healing and inspire hope for children in crisis. Whether through treatment, placement, or a little extra stability, their ultimate goal is to help children rebuild their lives in a manner that will break the cycle of abuse and give them the tools necessary to flourish.
If you are interested in being a mentor to an adolescent boy, the center needs you! After completing training and a background check, including fingerprinting and a tuberculosis test, mentors meet with the boys at least once a month (more frequent visits are encouraged if possible). For more information, and to volunteer, contact Jack Breese. You may also contact Alison Talbert or (512) 657-2118.
