Saturday, Oct. 28
It’s time again to make a difference in our community! We will help repair and paint a home as part of Hands on Housing, work at the Capital Area Food Bank, and distribute saplings at a Tree Folks event. Stop by the table in the courtyard Sunday morning to sign up, or contact Vicki Matustik.
But wait, there’s more! Mission-minded folks are invited to pitch in and help on these dates:
Friday-Saturday, Oct. 20-21: We’ll spend most of the day at a home located at 32 Chalmers St. in Austin. We will be working with Hands on Housing volunteers to clean up and make repairs to the exterior.
Saturday, October 28: We will finish our work at 32 Chalmers, which will include exterior painting.
Wednesday evening, Nov. 8 – Sunday morning, Nov. 12: We will be in the Galveston area working on Hurricane Harvey-related projects, including exterior painting and wheelchair ramp construction.
ALSO: On Saturday, Nov. 4, from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. we will be conducting our fall campus cleanup. This year we will have leadership from our Facilities Administrator, Daniel Urrutia, and United Methodist Men members Stan Reece and Richard Reeves. They will have a number of projects to accomplish. Volunteers will choose a team to work on a particular project.
