During our 2018 Stewardship Campaign, you will be hearing about gratitude as a way of life at Oak Hill UMC.
We invite you to reflect on how God has blessed you and consider your response to His blessings through your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness. We will ask that you prayerfully consider making a stewardship commitment to our church.
What is stewardship and what does it mean in my life?
Stewardship is a lifestyle. It is a life of accountability and responsibility. Living as a good steward acknowledges God as the Creator and the Owner of all. Christian stewards see themselves as the caretakers of God’s gifts. Gratitude for these gifts is expressed in our prayer, worship, offerings, and action. Stewardship is a way of thanking God for our blessings as we return a portion of the many gifts that we have been given by God.
If you would like to make a pledge online, you can do so by filling out this online pledge form.
God has blessed Oak Hill UMC in so many ways, and you are a part of that blessing. Thank you for helping us fulfill the mission that Christ has entrusted to all of us. May God bless you for generously sharing your gifts in service to the church.
… we renew our covenant to faithfully participate in the ministries of the church by our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness. – United Methodist Membership Covenant
When we join the church we pledge to support Oak Hill UMC through our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness, but what exactly does that mean? We’ve asked some members of our church family to explain what stewardship means to them.
