United Methodist Women
Marilyn Cannon - President, Oak Hill UMC UMW - Marilyn.email@example.com
The UMW is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
The UMW Book Club meets the last Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. at a previously chosen restaurant for a breakfast meeting. Our August selection (we are not meeting in July) is "All the Light We Cannot See," by Anthony Doerr. Our next meeting will be at Panera Bread on Thursday morning, August 27, at 10:00 a.m.
Contact Diana Goodloe at firstname.lastname@example.org, phone 512-906-1931.

We meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays in room A203 (we bring our own lunch) and we make neck coolers for the soldiers battling in the heat. In the Fall we start making Christmas stockings to send the troops, we also make bracelet ties (kinda difficult to describe here but gratefully received by the soldiers); in other words we keep busy all the time and could always do with a few more helpers.
Call Hazel Frandsen 512-291-0069 or e-mail Hazel at firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively ask anyone in the church office. Check us out - we're a great group and would welcome you joining us.

Each year the UMW sponsors a retreat, usually in February, open to all women, at a nearby retreat center in the country. It includes worship, Bible study, and time for laughter as well as quiet reflection. We usually begin with dinner on Friday evening and finish up by 4:30 on Saturday. The registration fee covers 3 delicious meals, fun and refreshing activities, along with comfortable lodging. Take time to relax, to make new friends, to worship, and to draw closer to God.

United Methodist Men
Richard Reeves - President, Oak Hill UMC UMM - firstname.lastname@example.org
Our mission is to support spiritual growth among men, helping men to mature as disciples as they encourage spiritual formation in others.
Six times a year, the UMM meets at 8 a.m. in Fellowship Hall for a time of fellowship, fun, inspiration and a hearty breakfast with friends and family. Everyone is welcome, and childcare is available on request.
Pete Vasquez Memorial Open Golf Tournament
The UMM sponsors a yearly golf tournament, open to all, and trophies are awarded. It's lots of fun, whether you are a participant or a spectator.
Cub and Boy Scouts
Our UMM group is the official sponsor of Cub Scout Pack #505 and Boy Scout Troop #505. Click here to see Troop #505's website.
Each year the UMM sponsors a retreat, usually in January, open to all men, whether members of the UMM or not, at a nearby retreat center in the country. The event begins on Friday evening with a hearty meal and ends shortly after lunch on Saturday. Over the years, programs have varied from featuring noted speakers to talks given by our own members about applying their Christian faith to their daily lives, in their marriages, on the job, as fathers, etc. This more relaxed setting gives participants the opportunity to unwind and share more deeply their own inner faith struggles. The retreat concludes with a communion service led by the pastor.
