Most people have heard of the woman at the well, but no one knows her name. We know she was a Samaritan, and a loner, either by choice or by exclusion. She showed up at noon, in the heat of the day, to fill up her jar with water. I have a hunch she had no idea whom she would be meeting. They were two people who culturally should have never crossed paths. In those days Hebrew men rarely spoke to their wives in public, let alone strangers, let alone Samaritans. Yet he did.
