“Prince of Peace”

On December 18, Pastor Katy preaches on Luke 10:3-6.

What does it really mean to call Jesus the “Prince of Peace”? He was born to a carpenter and a teenage mother from the armpit of Judaea, called Nazareth. Not exactly the noble birth of a prince. Born during a time of forced peace in the land, called the Pax Romana, and yet he was known to say things like “I am sending you out like lambs in the midst of wolves.” The angels declare that he will bring peace on earth, but what does Jesus’ peace really imply, and what does that mean for us today?
