On November 13, Pastor Katy preaches on Matthew 25:14-19. How do we view the things that we own, the gifts that we’re given, and the earth that we live on? When we talk, we often say things like “my car,” “my time,” or maybe “my trees.” What does it mean to own something, and how is that different from being stewards of something? Over the years, the countless stewardship campaigns of churches and distraught pastors all but begging for financial support have narrowed our understanding of stewardship. Let’s re-envision what the word really means and what kind of impact true stewardship might have on not only ourselves, but all of creation.
