On July 2, Pastor Jim preaches on Psalm 13.
The psalmist is not a happy camper. If he had a theme song it would not be “Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam.” No, he is weary, and frightened, and frankly, chapped off. Consider verses 1 and 2. He is complaining and fed up with a God who doesn’t seem to care or even show up. Consider verse 3. He is shouting at God and demanding action.
What an interesting journey the psalmist takes on his way to faith. See verses 5 and 6. Do we have the courage to pray this way? We’ll think together about this on Sunday.
