About the event

Every Monday from 6-7:15 pm beginning Monday, January 12

Sometimes the most radical thing we can do is slow down and be still.

Beginning January 12, Oak Hill UMC is relaunching our contemplation group in a fresh, accessible format perfect for both newcomers and seasoned contemplatives. We’ll meet every Monday night at 6 p.m. in the library of the Adult Education Bldg (Room A 204; campus map) to pause, breathe, and reconnect with God through shared silence and simple spiritual practices such as lectio divina, walking the labyrinth, Ignatian contemplation, meditating on the Psalms, etc. Each month we'll explore one contemplative tradition so we can go deeper without rushing.

This is an open group. Come once, drop in whenever you need a quiet reset, or make it a weekly rhythm. No experience, preparation, or commitment required. Just bring yourself.

What to expect each week:

Every session will follow the same…
