Advent Worship Series:
on the way to Bethlehem
Advent is a journey to Christmas, and this worship sermon series invites you to slow down and savor the way.
Inspired by Rob Fuquay’s On the Way to Bethlehem, this year's Advent worship sermon series explores the significant places in the Christmas story — Rome, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Bethlehem, and Persia — encouraging you to reflect on the meaningful stops in your own life journey. As we approach the manger once more, may you find hope, peace, joy, and love born anew, reminding you that you are never alone.

If you would like to follow this journey with us, you can download a digital copy of the Advent Devotional by clicking the button below. There will also be hard copies available in the Narthex of the Sanctuary.
Christmas Eve
worship services
Family & Kids
3:00 pm
You’re invited to a Birthday Party for Jesus! This family-friendly service will include storytelling, carols, and… BIRTHDAY CAKE!
(Our nursery will be available for children 0-5 years old in the Children’s Building during this service.)
Carols & Candlelight
5:00 pm
Come hear God’s “good news of great joy” while we sing carols accompanied by guitars in praise of the best gift ever given – God’s only Son. We’ll close worship with a favorite tradition of singing “Silent Night” by candlelight.
Carols, Candlelight & Communion
7:30 pm
This worship experience will be much like the 5:00 pm service with scripture, carols and candlelight. The Chancel Choir is set to perform in this service. Additionally, we will share in Holy Communion to encounter the fullness of Emmanuel, God with us.
gifts for the christ child:
pajama donation drive
We will launch the 2024 Gifts for the Christ Child Donation Drive on Sunday, November 24th.
This year’s Gifts for the Christ Child offers donors a chance to provide pajamas to adults in shelters downtown, and to children at two Foundation Communities properties in Oak Hill. Recipients receive a double gift. Each will receive a pair of pajamas for a warm, healing, restorative sleep. The second part is just as important. It says:
“We care about you. Rest well, my friend. God be with you.”
Cards with gender and size to adopt adults are available at the Connection Station in the Sanctuary Lobby. The children’s cards are at the main entry in the Children’s Building. After taking a card, or cards, please add your name and contact information to the lists near the cards for follow-up, if necessary.

Return gifts unwrapped to the Connection Station in the Sanctuary Lobby or to the Children’s Building drop-off location by Sunday, December 15th.
