The Listening Room presents Grouchy Like Riley

A band with an unusual name, but a lineup of veteran Austin musicians, kicks off the new year of The Listening Room at Oak Hill. Grouchy Like Riley — featuring members Danny Britt, Chip Dolan and Marvin Dykhuis — will perform at 7:30 pm on January 16 in the OHUMC Sanctuary. The band has played together for 30 years, under its current name for the past decade. They have been a regular performance at Donn’s Depot for 20 years. All are full-time musicians, songwriters and producers who have worked with such artists as the Mavericks, Bruce and Charlie Robison, Kelly Willis, Slaid Cleaves and Jerry Jeff Walker. "Still" is the band’s ninth album, and the second under as Grouchy Like Riley. Get a taste of their Americana sound with their song, Everything’s Fine. A donation at the door of $25 per person is requested.
