Walk with us on World Labyrinth Day

Saturday, May 2 | 1:00 PM

Every year on the first Saturday in May, thousands of people across the globe walk labyrinths at 1:00 PM local time, creating a rolling wave of peaceful intention that travels from time zone to time zone around the entire planet. It's a simple act with a profound collective purpose, and this year, Oak Hill UMC is participating in this event. Join us on May 2nd for World Labyrinth Day, as we walk our labyrinth together as a moving meditation for peace.

No wrong turns. No dead ends. Just you, a winding path, and whatever you've carried in with you. People walk labyrinths to slow down, release a burden, or simply open themselves to the quiet presence of God. For centuries, Christians have walked the labyrinth as a form of meditative prayer, pilgrimage, and spiritual reflection. The beauty of the labyrinth is that you don't need to have words. You just walk, and let the Spirit do the rest.

Never walked a labyrinth before? No problem! Jessica Goulding, a Veriditas-certified labyrinth facilitator, will be guiding us.

Not a church member? You belong here too! This space is for everyone, and you do not need to hold any particular beliefs to walk/pray it.

Join us at 1:00 PM at the OHUMC labyrinth (campus map) to "Walk as One for Peace" with thousands of others around the world!
