Walk the Labyrinth with us!

Every month our contemplation group explores a new spiritual practice. This April, we're heading outside — and inward — to walk our labyrinth.

A SPIRITUAL Practice for This Moment

We live in complicated times. The news is heavy, uncertainty is constant, and many of us are carrying grief and stress we can't quite name. Walking a labyrinth is one of the oldest contemplative practices in the world, and it turns out to be a remarkably fitting one for exactly these kinds of moments. There's no goal, no wrong turn, no way to fail. You simply walk, breathe, and let the Spirit do the work.

Our April Schedule

We'll meet every Monday evening in April, from 6:00 to 7:15 PM. We'll gather at the labyrinth next to the Children's Building (campus map). We are blessed to have Jessica Goulding, a Veriditas-certified labyrinth facilitator, who will be guiding us on these walks.

We encourage you to bring a camping chair so we can sit and talk about our experience after the walk.

Easter Monday: The Road to Emmaus

Our first walk falls on Easter Monday, and that feels like a gift. We'll open with a walk inspired by one of the most beautiful resurrection stories in scripture — the Road to Emmaus, when two disciples walked together in confusion and grief, not yet recognizing that the risen Christ was walking right beside them. It's a story about walking through what we don't understand, and about companionship in the in-between.

The Rest of the Month

The remaining Monday walks will be reflective spaces designed to support us through difficult news, hard seasons, and the grief and stress that come with being alive right now. No agenda. No expertise required. Just walking, breathing, and being together.

Can't join us? Walk it whenever you have time. Here is a basic guide.

🌍 Save the Date: World Labyrinth Day — Saturday, May 2

Mark your calendars! World Labyrinth Day is Saturday, May 2, and we'll be joining thousands of people around the globe in a collective walk for peace. We'll walk at 1:00 PM at the OHUMC labyrinth — right alongside the rest of the world. More details to come!
