Spiritual Formation week is back!

Updated: Oct 1, 2024

Join us Sept. 29-Oct.5

Earlier this year we celebrated our 45th birthday with a week of activities designed to nourish your spirit and promote spiritual growth. The events were so well received that we're doing it again!

Mark your calendars for Sept. 29 to Oct. 5 and join us to explore different facets of spirituality through a series of workshops and other enriching activities.

Each day will provide a unique opportunity to awaken your spirit:

Sunday, Sept. 29: Church Picnic

Because what better way to kick it all off than with a fun outing to a nearby park? Join us for a picnic at Dick Nichols Park after the 11 am church service. Please note that there will be only one service that Sunday. We'll provide hamburgers and hot dogs but please bring any drinks, sides, deserts, you'd like to share. You may also want to bring a lawn chair. Most importantly, be sure to bring your friends! We’re looking forward to seeing all of you there! We will need some help transporting things to the park, setting up, cleaning up and bringing games. Please review the ways to help out below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you! https://bit.ly/3Mrex5k

Saturday, oct 5: Art & Spirituality

Richard Rohr says that the 10 or so things you believe have a greater impact on your life than the 10,000 or more things you know. Come explore how we can use art to playfully remind ourselves of what we believe. For example, God is with us. God is for us. But first, we will take 15 minutes to draw a horse, and then use color to create what you most want to remind yourself. The horse will show you that you can do more than you think you can!

No registration required

Time: 9:00 - 11:00 am

Where: Room A201 Adult Education Bldg.

Led by Javonne Gilmore

Online Option: Art & Spirituality
